The mission of LEADERSHIP MAHONING VALLEY is to identify, educate and motivate community leaders to address the challenges facing the Mahoning Valley.

PROGRAM GOALS:

to identify existing and emerging leaders with a commitment to remain in the Warren/Youngstown area, who are from various geographic, ethnic, occupational and economic segments of the community;

to increase their potential for civic responsibilities and leadership through training in necessary skills and the study of community issues which focus on the specific needs of the Warren/Youngstown area;

to open a significant dialogue among these leaders and other established community leaders on areas such as human relations, economic development, local and regional government, long and short-range city and area planning, and service delivery systems; and

to prepare participants to work effectively within their own area with the capability of influencing the decision-making process of public and private institutions and agencies through a leadership network.
